However, the transition from the harpsicle spacing to the therapy harp took less than a week. When I upgraded to a nicer levered therapy harp after about 3 years on the harpsicle I definitely noticed that the strings were spaced slightly further apart on my new harp. She often commented that the strings on harpsicles were close together, which was contributing to a lot of buzzing from members while we practiced (you try to pluck a string but brush up against another while doing that). She has both lever harps and pedal harps and plays in an orchestra.
My harp teacher had a harp choir going with 20ish harpists - all beginners.
I'm not sure about harpsicles being the same spacing as concert harps.
